Montana State University School of Art and the Helen E. Copeland Gallery invite the public to, GOLDEN SURPLUS, a solo exhibition by artist and MFA thesis candidate Katie Brown.

GOLDEN SURPLUS brings together the art of ceramics and the ideology of farming. Slab constructed to prompt viewers to question overproduction in contemporary agri-business and reflects on the overuse of corn in the American food system.

The exhibition dates are Monday April 1 –Friday April 5, 2013, and it is free and open to the public.

There will be an artist’s reception on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 6:30-8:30 PM.

The Helen E. Copeland Gallery is located within The School of Art’s Haynes Hall, on the second floor and is open Monday through Friday 9 AM – 5PM.
